From Missouri.—The St. Louis Times
of the 16th of July, says—The steamboat
Yellowstone, under the command of Captain
B. Young, arrived at St. Louis on Thursday
last, from her trip up the Missouri. The
Yellowstone is owned by thq American Fur
Company, and loft this place on the 15th of
April last, for tho purpose of proceeding ns
far as the mouth of he Yellowstone—2000
mile®—carrying the goods for the Indian
trade with, which the Comp any annually sup
plies the traders in its employ. Owing,
however, to the low stige of tho water in the
Missouri, the Yellowstone was unuhre to pro
ceed beyond Fort Tecmnseh, the mouth oi
the little Missouri, 1.8(H) miles almve St.;
Louis. This is 600 miles htglier than -my
steamboat has hitherto navigated. The Yel
lowstone brought down a full corgo of Buffa
lo robes, furs und peltries, besidua 10,000
pouuds Buffalo tongues.
