As a proof of the general feeling of indig.
nation which prevails iu England against the se
Lords who voted against reform, wo quote
tho following instances which we find in our
late papers. Tho 'Yeomanry Cavalry com
manded by Lord Marsha mV kayo held a mee
ting at which a formal resignation was agreed
to—the resolution states “that they cannot
' consistently with their duty to themselves
and their country, consent to serve under a
Colonel who opposed tlm Reform Bill in tlm
House of Commons, nnd a Lord Lieutenant
who is in the majority of the House of
Lords,*“for if tumult arise, which w.c sorrow
fully anticipate,in consequence of refusing re
form to tiie people, wo should be belicing
our political creed should wo be called out
to fight against men whose cquse \yc es
pouse.”
This is langungo too explicit to bo mista
ken.
The Salisbury troops of Royal Wiltshire
Cavalry have sent in tiioir resignation iu con
sequence of Lord Amidol’s vote.
Similar memorials are in course of signa
ture from the troops of Lord Wkarnciiff’s
regiment, namely Wakefield, Pontefract,
Barnsley, two Shefiiold, Rothornm* Keaveton
Wensworth, Hatfield, Tickhil), nnd Second
