The Indications are that sea is land cotton will be more largely used the doming season than ever before, not that there is to be any unexpectedly unusual demand for it, hut because every year finds more uses for the staple. And once sea island cotton is adopted for a par ticular purpose it Is steadily used until a better product Is found, which is seldom the case. It will probably be some time be fore a better material for mail bags, for instance, Is found than sea Is land cotton, which was adopted some years ago after a number of severe tests of all kinds of materials by the government. Hence, for this pur pose, there is a fixed, assured de mand for sea island cotton. The government must have bags made of such material as it specifies in its contracts. The same Is true of num erous other things Ifor which island cotton is used, and for which either rigid contracts or good pol icy forbids substitutes. More than In any other staple, therefore, Is the demand for sea island probably fixed to an extent, and cannot down hill. As new uses are found for this cotton with the progress of inven tlon, the demand becomes the more stable, and promises* to remain around a certain fixed minimum re quirement. It Is to be noted that more uses are being found for Island cotton in this country than abroad. This being the case, and the fixed requirements being expect ed to increase rather than decrease, It Is likely the new season will find many mills adopting this cotton for some use or other. E. Vhin mock were electrified recently at the ap pearance of a very much excited lady, who proved to be Mrs. 3. H. Harvard, who lives in Valdosta. She inquired eagerly for A. E. Dimmock, and upon meeting him said: “I have been a sufferer for several years, and have never known what was the matter with me. I felt tired ail the time aud could not sleep nights. I had a very weak back, and used to have dizzy spells and would see spots before my eyes if I stooped to pick up any thing. 1 felt blue and discouraged, and did not seem to have any energy. M; stomach troubled me a great deal, and* had a very irregular appetite. I sus pected that a great deal of my trouble came from a disordered stomach, and heard so much about Diltingliam’s Plant Juice medicine and what it was doing for other peonle that I purchased a bottle of it. I have taken throe doses of the medicine and this morning the thing I have in this tin pail passed from my system.” - 2 Mrs. Harvard, as she spoke, removed the cover from a small tin bucket, which oontaiued au enormous tape-worm, which, ujxm beiug measured, proved to bo over 30 feet iu length. The great parasite was placed in a glass bowl and allowed to remain on the center table in the offices, where it excited a great deal ol attention from callers for the rest of the afternoon. Speaking about the matter, somewhat later, Mrs. Harvard said: I am very grateful for what Plant Juice has done for me, as I might have gone on for years, suffering terribly, aud never suspected what was -wrong with me. I have consulted a number of physicians, who either said 1 had stom ach trouble or uervous trouble, but never told me what was the matter. Mr. A. E. Dimmock is a wonderful man, aud he has accomplished a great deal of good in this section.” The way to make a girl want to marry a man is for there to be lots of reasons why she should not.
