Killed a Monster Rattler. (
John B. Hodges, of Brooks county,
and another young man are said to have
killed the largest rattle snake of the
season, about sunset, Monday. They
followed the snake about one hundred
yards to its den, tracking it by its trail
which it left as it moved along. It was
located in a gopher liolo and killed. It
had only eight rattles, but measured
twelve and three quarter inches around
the body, and is said to lutve been the
largest ever seen there.
