Wolff's store, at Thomasville. was taken in charge by a receiver, appointed by Judge Mitchell last week. The concern owed two of the Thomasville banks about $15,000. Mr. Tom Lanier, of Colquitt, has forwarded President Roosevelt large bundle of sugar cane, the stalks measuring ten and a half feet each. This is enough to make the president come back to south Georgia and spend the winter. The town of Camilla has a commit tee to Investigate its tax books in order to bring the tax-dodgers up to the "lick-dog”. The tax dodgers are finding trouble on all sides these days . Joseph Smmons, colored, has car ried a yam potato to the Observer office In Moultrie that weighed six and a half pounds. Thje date for the execution of Dow Keaggin, for" the murdfer of Hansen Norman, which occurred at Dade City, Fla., has not been set. Under the Florida laws the judge only passes the sentence, the governor flxng the date for the execution Mr J. B. Norman, of Norman Park, suffered a partial stroke of paralysis last week, but his condition Is said to be favorable. All of the districts have officers except Eldorado and an election will bo held there soon. Mr. S. M. Roberts, of Tifton, while doing some wiring in the new Bowen building last week, fell across a Joist and sustained serious Injuries. The surgeons at the Pasteur Insti tute say that the dog which recently bit Messrs J. F. Williams and J. F. McWhite at Tifton, was suffering from hydrophobia and they advise that every dog bitten by it be killed The case of the state versus G. S.
