A CUP SHOYER YESTERDAY.
An Enjoyable Event Yesterday ii
Honor of a Young Bride-Elect.
(From Wednesday’s Daily.)
One of the most original and er
Joyable affairs of the season was th
cup shower given In honor of Miss
Roberts by the Clover Leaf Club at
the residence of Mrs. Charles Davis
Tuesday afternoon.
The first feature of the aftern
was a guessing contest—each g
representing some article to
which is widely advertised. Miss
Roberts was the fortunate winner
of the prize, a beautiful cup. After
the contest the guests were Invited
Into the dining room where all tried
tnelr skill in cooking. Covers were
laid for twelve. The places were
marked with cards bearing the name
of each guest and decorated with a
clover leaf.
The centerpiece was a handsome
piece of battenburg. In the center
of this was a large bowl of nastur
tiums resting on a mirror. Nasturti
ums and clover leaves were scatter
ed gracefully over the cloth and
a nasturtium and clover leaf float
ed In each Anger bowl.
At the conclusion of the luncheon
Miss Roberts was requested to serve
the pie which occupied the place of
honor at one end of the table. When
was opened r

submit further evidence going
show that the rates of the Geo
Southern and Florida should be
duced.
This evidence 1$ now in the hands
of the commission, and unless the
Atlanta Freight Bureau asks for an
other extension of time, the commis
sion will likely render Its decision
upon the question of reducing the
classification of the Georgia South-
rn and Florida.
The Atlanta Freight Bureau has
not as yet filed any request for a re
duction of freight rates on the At
lanta, Birmingham and Atlanta, and
may not do so until after this sys
tem has reached Atlanta. It would
bad policy to Jump on the At
lanta. Birmingham and Atlantic, and
fore that system reaches that city,
as such action might have the ef
fect of turning the line to some oth
er point. It would he a much safer
plan to catch the bird before wring
ing Its neck.
