A feature of the funeral will bo the attendance of the congregation of the Erst African Baptist church. They have asked and have ae- hose terms shall be three months by which time a charter will bo secured *for the association. Rev. C. C. Carson was made tem porary chairman of Inst night's meet ing with .Vlr. .1. .1. Newman as sec retary. The meeting was later per manently organized and temporary officers of the association were elect ed. They were Mr. 0. L. Patterson. President. J. J. Newman, secretary; Mr. James Hunt .treasurer.
