part payment for a monument to Ogle
thorpe and lt is hoped that Mr. Chari-

ment The spot which has been se
lected for the monument Is the In
tersection of Bull street and Ogle
thorpe avenue. These are two very
wide thoroughfares and the monu
ment would have a splendid setting
there. On Bull street Savannah now
has monuments to Nathantal, Greene
Sergeant Jasper, Count Pulaski, and
busts of Generals LaFayette McLawa
