(From Wednesdays Dai.y.)
Police Officer John Clayton, who
had been confined to hla home on
Savannah avenue by illness since the
holidays, died last night about eleven
o’clock and his remain# were carried
to Lake Park this morning for inter
ment.
Officer Clayton had been in a dying
condition for several days, being kept
alive part of the time by stimulants
and the determination with which his
strong constitution clung to the small
thread of life.
He suffered from Bright’s disease
with an abcess of the stomach, and
other complications. His condition
was critical from the beginning and
there was little hope for his recovery
a short while after he was taken 1H
realized the gravity of his con
dition, but he made no complaint and
was patient throughout his illness.
Officer Clayton came here from
Lake Park, where he was reared, and
had been on the police force for quite
a while. He was a faithful
fleer and did his duty as he saw it
on every occasion. He was ft man
of a high sense of honor and held
the confidence of those who knew
him.
He leaves a young wife and a num
ber of brothers and sisters to mourn
his death.
Hi# funeral will occur at Lake Park
today hla remains having been car
ried there for interment on the early
train this morning.

scientific g<nuinide and pr phip>f£ic for the scalp
and it is tin first and on y sojecJssml one to be com
pounded in h wmony wi*h PriCvJTnna’s theory.
Prof Unra, the dermatologist, rpf/.llambnrg, Ger
many (a^k yonr Doctor about him),’was the first to
advance :h« belief that dandruff,' itching scalp and
failing 1> iir are caused by an invisible growth of veg
etable oh H.'ter in tne sebaceous glands of the scalp.
DANGER TO THE H \»K
The investigation of Prof. Unna and other noted
dermatologists prove what many have learned bv
actual experience, viz: that ordinary hair remedies
are ineffectual to prevent h air loss 'and that to be
successful, the dandruff germ must be destroyed and
kept out of the scalp.
The success of Newbro’s Herpicide has demon-
f trated to the people at large the incorrectness of old
theories relative to treating the hair and scalp Even
the Manufacturers of other hair remedies recognize
the inevitable and, one by one, they are changing
th*ir remedies to conform to the germ theory of
dandruff.
But whr experiment with remedies that have not
been tried? Herpicide is the original success, so why
bother with substitutes at any price?
MORE MEN AND WOMEN HAVE OOTTEN POSITIVE
RESULTS FROM THE USE OF NEWBRO’S HERPICIDE
THAN FROM ALL OTHER HAIR REMEDIES COMBINE!!.
