BABY’S
VOICE
It the joy of the^houtehold, for without
it nfc happiness can be complete. How
aweet the picture of mother and babel
Angela tmile at and commend the
thoughts and aspiration, of the mother
bending over the cradle. The ordeal through
which the expectant mother must pass, how
ever, is so full of danger and suffering that she
looks forward to the hour when she shall feel
the exquisite thrill of inotherhood with indescribable dread and fear.
Every woman should know that the danger, pain and horror of child
birth can be entirely avoided by the use of Mother's Friend, a scientific
liniment for external use only, which toughens and render, pliable all
the parts, and assists nature in
its sublime work. By its aid
thousands of women have
passed this great crisis in per

LITTLE NEGRO BOY DROWNED.
While in Bathing with Another Boy
he Sank and waa Drowned.
(From Tuesday’s Daily.)
Jesse Homer, a little negro boy,
and son of Henry Homer, living on
the Mackey place, was drowned In
a pond on the branch near Morgan
and CofTee’s mill yesterday afternoon
about two o’clock.
From the best that can be learned
the little negro, together with another
negro boy, a little older, were in the
pond bathing. The older negro, who
could swim, started across the pond
swimming and called to the little
negro not to follow him If he could
■not swim. The little negro started
across, however, and went down and
drowned. The larger negro saw
that the little fellow waa drowning
but he was afraid and so he left him
to his fate.
There were some little white boys
present who had Just been In bathing
In the same place and were witnesses
to the drowning of the Uttle negro.
The alarm was given at once, but
it must have been an hour or more
before the body was rescued.
Coroner Solomon was notified and
went to the scene, but after investiga
ting the case decided that an Inquest
was not necessary as there were
number of eye-witnesses to the
drowning.
