Yon once could eat anything you
wanted, and your stomach would
digeatlt.
Bnt now there’s some things which
your stomach won’t digest. Your
Stomach absolutely refuses to accom
modate you when you eat certain
food—so you have been forced by your
stomach to eat food which you de
tested, and pass up those delicacies
that you would have really enjoyed.
There is now a way to eat any
thing you like, if you will let
Kodol digest it.
Kodol will do this, too. It won’t

gain a lap, the six day bicycle riders
began this morning the maddest
pace yet set In the grilling content.
The racers have smashed all alx-
day records.
Bobby Walthour at dawn went
out to regain his lost lap and kept
up the spurt until eleven other men
were worn arid panting.
At eleven o'clock today the eight
leading teams had a score of 719
miles. Walthuor and Root; Devon-
vltch and Drobach; Galvin and Wil
ey had 718 miles and 9 laps; Faber
and Lafourcade 713 miles and 8
laps. The old record wsb 715 milee
and 4 laps.
Faber, of the lowest team, gained
a lap by a furious spurt beginning
shortly after eleven o’clock.

Liston Affair Not Explained
A phase of the Mitchell case at
Thoniasville that has been lost sight
of almost was th, shooting of Mitch
ell the second night after, the abduc
tion. It was reported that Mitchell
shot himself in order to allay? sus
picion anu excite sympathy and lead
the people to think that In the plot
against Miss Linton, he had been in
cluded and was paring penalty for
bis friendship to her. But this was
flimsy and nobody gave any credence
to the idea. It seems Impossible that
he could have shot himself In the
way that he was wounded.
The ball went through the. left
leg between the thigh and knee and
lodged in bis right hanu. If he had
shot himsell he would probably have
used his right hand to hold the re
volver, and (or this reason could not
have put the ball Into his right hand,
where It was embedded several days
before the physicians removed It.
and It doesn't appear likely that he
would have employed some one to
shoot him; sulh courage would have
keen desperate and unnecessary to
cover up his tracks even If he had
felt certain that he was discovered
and that his conviction would cer
tainly follow.
Miss Linton testified that she gavqj
blhi an opportunity to run away andj
escape prosecution. This he refuaei
to do.
Shooting Still a Mystery.
The shooting of Mitchell yet re
mains as much a mystery as It was
when it happened. It didn't get Into
the case In anyway whatever; and
there was notnlng of record concern
ing It. Yet Mitchell with his ban
daged hand and crippled limb bore
evidence that some shooting had been
done, by whom and for what will
probably never be known.
And possibly the greatest mystery
ol all Is the positive dhd seemingly
truthful statement pf Mitchell that
he knows nothing of Miss Linton's

nocence so convincingly as Mitchell
does. This of Itself Is strange. He
asserts that he Is the victim of cir

Nothing new has developed In tho
