Big Saw Mill Deal.
The 3. N. Bray Lumber Co.
this city, has sold out Us big mill at
Boyd, Taylor county. Fla., to Winkle
A Hammerman, of Jacksonville. The
deal was closed yesterday, and the
new ownere will take charge of the
property at once.
While It takes six figures to ex
press tbe sum received for the prop
erty, the price Is said ta have been
very reasonable. The mill le a very
fine one. with between seven thou-

of said county fot the purpose
electing trustees for said dlstrlcta,
the number to be elected being
follows: In Klng.e Chapel district.

cord. the time of all trustees having
expired, three trustees are to be
elected for each, one tor three years,
one for two and one for one year.

The result of said election should
be reported in writing by the secre
tary of each meeting to the County
School Commissioner on the day fol
lowing tbe election. Said election
to be acted on by the Board of Edu
cation at Ita meeting to be held on
January 8th, 1909.

the following described tracts of
land for the purpose ot saw mill,
crosstte or any other purpose what
ever measuring 10 tnenes- or more
in diameter one foot above the
ground, vwlth the right to remove the

ously boxed by S. M. Stanley under,
a lease from Byrd Hightower, Sr.
The land upon which the timber lx,
being described as follows; Part lot
lot number 10. in the 11th district
of Lowndes county, being 238 acres
more or less and bounded on the
north by a six acre tract of land be
longing to Mrs. Byrd Hightower,
Jr., and the untlmbered lands ot the
estate of Byrd Hightower, Sr., fsom
which Morgan & Coffee had previ
ously cut the timber; on the east by
the original land line, on the south
by the Rocky Ford road and the orig
inal land line and on tbe west by the
original land line; also upon 120
acres more or less of lot number 31,
in said 11th district, the same being
bounded on the north by the Valdos
ta and Troupeville road, on the east
by the Georgia Fertilizer and Oil
Company, on the south by land of
Gib Wilson, Lymus Muse, Georgia
Ann Cook, Shack Brown and Bob
Robinson and the Rocky Ford road,
Including all In a pond Just south
of the road hounded on the west by
the original line, excepting there
from a two acre negro grave yard
on said lot. Also will be sold at t£e
same time and place a small piece
of land with its appurtenances, the
same being in the city Valdosta
and bounded on the north about 34
feet by River street,, on the east
about 35 feet by an unnamed street
Just west of the plant of the South
ern Purchasing agency, and on the
South and west by the Georgia
Southern and Florida railroad right-
of-way. said tract being triangular
in shape.
The terms of the sale will be cash.
Sale made tor purpose of distribu
tion among the heirs at law of Byrd
Hightower, Sr., deceased.
This December 8tn, 1908.

day to day between the same hours
until all of said property is sold.
