dert Roosevelt is now en route to
Africa. The steamship Hamburg,
uiion which the Roosevelt party Is
traveling, left her deck In Hoboken

The Roos-evlt family, arose early
this morning. The breakfast was in
the nature of a family farewell, and
was not altogether s happy meal for
Mr*. Roosevelt, whose eyes were
suspiciously red. Miss Ethel, the
daughter', was not altogether herself.
The ex-Fres!dent, however, \was In a
Jolly mood, trying to banish alt the
appearance of sadness.
