street, was shot and killed today by
her father. Phillip Mangans, a half

was crowded with school children,

Boy Describes the Kidnappers.

leaving Australia Dr. Chapman and
his party will go to China, Japan,
Korea and the Philippines. In all
of these countries they will conduct
meetings and confer with American
missionaries and native Christians
concerning their work .

Fanny J. Crosby, famous through
out the English-speaking world as

her ninetieth year today. At tho

Miss Crosby hat been totally blind
since she was six years old. At the
age of 16 she entered the Institute
for the Blind In New York and
ter her graduation she was a teacher
there lor ten years. She Is the auth
or ot about 4,000 hymns, among the
best known being "Safe In the Arms
of Jesus,'* "Jesus the Water of Life
Will Give” and ‘Jesus, Keep, Me
