The ashes will ba removed this
evening, from Evergreen cemetery,
where they have been resting since
the funeral services here, and taken
to Richmond, leaving here over the
Rock Island at 9:10 o’clock. The par
ty wllf go by way of Chicago, reach
ing Richmond Thursday afternoon at
Corner Central Avenue and Ashley Street.

Georgia women were highly honored
at the annual convention of tbe
United Daughters of the Confederacy
which has adjourned at Houston,
Texas. Mrs. Thomas T. Stevens was
elected third vice president general
and Mrs. L. H. Raines was elected
custodian of cross of honor. Both
