Atlanta. Oa., March 20.—The Bale
of naughty and aulacloua postcards
haa been summarily atopped In At
lanta. For the pact several month*
numbers of small soda stands, cer
tain stores, and many street venders
bad been selling picture-postcards
of vulgar and suggestive nature,
some actually obscene.
Last Saturday afternoon one of the
street dealers happened to offer
postcards for sale to Mayor Court-
land S. WJnn, whom, of course he
did not know at sight. Mayor Winn
saw what they wore and bought a
whole pack of them. He took them
straight to the chief of police. The
result was that the lot was confiscat
ed from that particular vender and
he was warned not to sell any more.
Now the police arc warning the
other venders.

house were loud In their praise of
the entertainment given them by the
Valdoetans, declaring that It was
one of the most enjoyable days they
hare spent. There were stout
twenty-five Jobbers In attendance
upon the meeting here and they
were carried to Ocean Pond In auto
mobiles, returning here that night

Supreme Court Decides that
Railroads Must Unload and
Feed Every 28 Hours.
Washington March 20.—The su
preme court handed down a decision
of the government v*. the Baltimore
and Ohio and Southwestern, uphold
ing the act of congreaa prohibiting
the transportation of cattle for
more than twenty-eight consecutive
hours without unloading for water
and feed.
No deletion In tho Standard Oil
or Tobacco Truat cases was hand
ed down. Tho court adjourned to
meet again on April 3.
