execution of Roger Warren here to
morrow will probably be the last
legal hanging In Kentucky, as the
law now requires all men condemn
ed to death to bs electrocuted, pro
vided the crime was committed
after the electrocution law came Into
effect Warren Is a negro convict-
sent up from Jefferson county. After
his arrival at the Rtate penitentiary
he killed another negro convict, the
crime being committed Just before

Ingram, son of Dr. J. B. Ingram ot
Venua, Fla., was shot and kllle.,
Saturday night by Henry F. Wild
In the latter's home.

followed. Wild gave himself up
and was promptly exoueratod by
the corornor’s Jury.
Followed the shooting Mrs. Wild
took two ounces of bromide, but
prompt action saved her life.

Moore, the negro woo yosterday
confessed to having murdered Henry
Googher, a wenlthy farmer. Ratur

here late last night or early this

As soon as Governor Smith goes

legislature the question of agricul
tural education, which he believes is
the most important of all. Ho will

this knowledge more widely amor
her people. The co-operation of the
national government will be asked.
An attempt will be made to estab
lish county demonstration farms.
More funds will be asked for th
state college of agriculture. An ef

sort of publicity bureau.

"Under the Georgia law,” says he
"such an act Is dearly theft, and will
be so dealt with ln any case of the
kind coming within the Jurisdiction

Murdered Man Was Avenged.
Atlanta, May 24.—Hen Googer,
the town marshal of Decatur
whose murder was avenged by a
mob at Crawfordvllle Sunday night
was a brother of Marcus D. Googer,
the town marshal of Decatur.
Both had hundreds of warm friends
in this community and throughout
North Georgia.
