Mrs. Lou Fuller Returns to Valdosta
' From Argents, Ark.
Mrs. Lou Fuller, o{ Argenta,
Ark., an aunt of Mr. J. B, Single-
ton, of this city, la spending some
time In Valdosta with Mr. slngle-
SPLENDID FLIGHTS ton’s family and with dthei* rela
tives here.
Mrs. Fuller left Thomas county
for Arkansas thirty-eight years ago
and has not been back to this sec
tion since then. She was bsrn and
raised In Brooks county and before
she went West was a frequent visi
tor to Valdosta. She has kept up
with the growth of this section
since that time, but she had no Idea
that so many changes had been
made.
Many of the places that were fami
liar. to her when she went away
have entirely disappeared. Many of
•he old Helds have grown Into tim
ber and many of the forests have
been cut down. New roads and
hotter highways have been built
and In nearly every district new
towns have sprung np.
The changes in Valdosta have
been especially marked, as nearly
all of the growth of this town has
been made since she left here. The
town was hut a struggling village
In those days. . Mrs. Fuller remem<
bers many of the older people of
this section, though most of them
have passed away since she resided
here.
Her coming to Georgia to visit
her relatives has been a very pleas
ant event for all of them and she la
receiving warm welcome from many
who had begun to believe that they
would never see her again.
