TTO.Y FOR NAMING DELEGATES ! garded bright
AND EXPRESSING PRESIDEN
TIAL CHOICE.
Atlanta, Ga., Feb. 1A—Hon. Wm.
C. Wright, chairman of the atate
democratic executive committee re
ceived thia morning from Senator
W. J. Harrie, of Cedartown, a form
al communication urging that In the
coming democratic presidential pri
mary In this atate, the people be
given an opportunity not only to
vote their choice - of a democratic
presidential nominee, but also to
vote for delegatee to repreeent them
at the national democratic conven
tion.
Only In thla way, nrgea Senator
Barrie, can the people be absolute-
ly certain that their wlahea will be
carried out by the Georgia delega
tion.
Two other ways have been aug-
geated for naming the delegatee,
neither of which. Senator Barrie
argues, would bo aa sure and direct
a method of registering the people's
wishes. One la to nil a atate con
vention to choose ithe delegates,
and the‘other la to have'the dele
gatee chosen by the state executive
committee.
Senator Harris offers the follow
ing suggestions Ini'epeciflo form for
the consideration of.the atate com
mittee:
"On the- tickets In each congres
sional district would be placed, un

president, not only the names of
those wishing to (be delegates at
