Hr. B. L. Dowling, U. S. Department
demonstration agent, have been the
men who have taken the lead in the
organisation of these clube and
them Is due the credit for the excel
lent organization already perfected.
Hr. Grabel has been working tire
lessly for the cause and has to his

The following rules may be adapt
ed by a club, with sqch modifications
and addition^ as may be found nec
essary:
1. Boys Joining cltfba and enter
ing contests must be between 10 and
18 years of age on January 1st of
this year.
2. No boy shall be allowed
contest for a prize unless he becomes
a member.of a club. i
3. The members of the clubs
must agree to study the Instructions
of the Farmers’ Co-operative Dem
onstration Work. .!
4. Each boy must plant his own
crop and do his own Work. A small
boy may hire help for heavy plow
ing in preparing the soli.
5. Exhibits must be delivered to
the County Superintendent of Educa
tion on or before November 1st.

carefully measured in the presence
of at least two disinterested wltno,*-
es, whtz shall attest the certldcate of
the boy.
7. Gather the corn and weigh
two 100-pound lota from different

Judge Sheppard Winds op the Busi
ness Here and .Leaves for Home.
The United States court, which
has been in session since last Hon-
day week, came to an end this morn
ing about ten o’clock, tbe past two
days having been spent In arguing
motions aim demurrers 'before the
.Judge, the Jury having been dismiss
ed. ’Probably tbe most Important mat
ter this week was an order issued by
Judge Sheppard yesterday of a re-
mlttur writing off $6,054.16 for In
terest allowed by the Jury in the
cate of the Balnbrldge Grocery Com
pany against the Atlantic Coast Line
railroad. This action was based upon
tbe fact that an error was made by
the court In directing the Jury to
Include Interest In Its verdict. The
order stipulates that If the plaintiffs
in the case do not accept the verdict
with the Interest before the first of
April that a new trial will be grant
ed.

Drag Company, T. .8. Hopkins, trus

Thomasvllle, the matter was refer,
red to Wilfred C. Lane as special
master to take tbe testimony a nd

The gang of burglare who have
been doing business in all of the
towns of this section recently, swept
down on Naylor last right and broke
Into three different stores, but they
refuted to take th- pennies -.hat
were left In tbe cash drawers sand
very few other things; were missing.
Only about $4 or $5 waa taken and
all this came from tbs poatoflke
The burglars used club axes and
bare to break open the, stores. The
door ?f the poetolllce and the door
of J. P. Carter's store wen broken
open, while entrance Into A. B. Rob
inson's store was made through the
window -In each store a lot of cop-
pera were left in the money drawers,
but the'burglars refuted to take
them. They took a few valuable ar
ticles and some canned goode, but
did not ipoleet anythlrg else.
The police oflfeers here wore noti
fied of the burglarly early this morn
ing and were'asked *o look out for
suspicious characters.
It Is probable that the burglary
waa apmmltted by the same gang
which haa been operating In thla
