been out four or five hours. After

The suit was for damages to tim

started by sparka from an engine on
the Coast Line. There were three
separate Arcs and th 0 suit waa to
cover the damage In all of them*
Mr. McRee aakod for damages
amounting to about $6,900. The
rnilroad took the position that tha
damages were not as much as he
stnted and that tho fire wns not
,'cnuscd by sparks from the engine.

delivered by Judge Griffin for tno
plaintiff, followed by Col. Stanley
Rennet, of Quitman, for the railroad
company and he was followed by
Col. I>nke for the plaintiff, while
Judge Oscar 8mlth spoke for the de
fendant and Col. Whitaker concluded
for the plaintiff.
The ease was given the Jury about
alx o'clock and that body began Its
consideration of the ca## at soon ••

jury remained out about four hours
before reaching the verdict.
