Young Mao, Insane Is Found Dead
After Arrest.
Brunswick, Ga., April 19.—Ira
Thrift, a young white man who waa
found wandering in the outlaying
districts In a seml-dressed. state and
placed la the county jail here, was
found hanging to rafters In his ceil
this morning. Physicians were sum
moned .and upon examination
ported he had been dead four or flve
hours. The young man, after being
arrested, could not give an account
of himself, and apparently was suf
fering from temporary aberration of
th® mind.

had been working In Florida, leav
ing that state for this city, and af
ter arriving here It is thought hi®
mind became deranged. From pa
pers found on Ills person It Is thought
his home Is In Virginia. Efforts
will 'be made to locate his parents,

Man Who Was on the Ill-fated Ves
sel Coming to Savannah.
Savannah, April 19.—Savannah
will have as her guest tomorrow
one of the survivors of the ill-fatea
steamer Titanic, which sunk off the
New Foundland coast Sunday with
terrible loss of life. A wireless
message from Mr. F. A. Omont, of
Havre, France, on board the steam
ship Carpathla, states that he Is
6afe and now en route to Savannah.
The message waa received by

with which Mr. Omont has business
