They are all good ami substantial vessels, and
well suited to the trade, aud their commanders
careful aud experienced men. The facilities of
this line, wheu taken in connexion with ihe
increased, and constantly, increasing facilities of
Steam Boats, nud other conveyances, on the
waters of the Altamaha River, render the trans
portation of tperchamlise aud produce between
New York, Macon aud Millegeville, ami a large
portion of that section of Georgia lyiug west of
the Ocouee River, cheaper and more speedily than
by any other route—and it is confidently expect
ed that tile advantages afforded to the public by
this Liue of Packets, will ensure it a continuance
of the support which it has heretofore received;

prietors have been at, in adding to the Liue the
fine new Brig, Amelia Strong, now ou her first
voyngo.

The addition of this fine Boat ensures the
greatest despatch to Cotton shipped by this line,
liy avoiding long detention at Darien aud re-
shipinciit on Sloops which is liable to bo very
tedious when the winds are adverse.
The Steam Boat Pioneer, Capt. McCormick
will be continued ou the river to tow up the freight
Barges from Darien.
The subscriber hopes that his arrangements to
facilitate transportation between Macou and the
Sea-Ports, will meet wifh encouragement.

Clinton Hotel,) tender our thanks to our
friends and patrons for past encouragement, and
respectfully beg leave to announce to the public,
that we have removed to the commodious House
known as the
GLOBE TAVERN,
situated in the business part ef the town, and
fronting the Court-House.
Having leased this stand for several years,
wrtfl the intention ofrenewing the lease or of pur
chasing the property, wo consider ourselves per
manently located, nud shall coutiuue to improve
our accomodations as the comfort ef customers
shall require.
Our House is now open for the reception of
Travellers or Hoarders. Wo shall at all times
endenyor to keep such a House, as will ensure
public patronage; aiid wc hope to afford such ac
commodations as will prove satisfactory to those
who call on us.
The usual great promises of good TABLES,
