They arc all good and substantial vessels, and
well suited to the trade, and these commanders
careful and experienced men. The facilities of
this line, when taken in connexion with the
increased, and constantly increasing facilities of
Steam Boats, and other conveyance*, on the
waters of. the Artamaha River, render the trans
portation of merchandise aud produce between
New York, Macon and Mijlegcvillc, and a large
portion of that section of Georgia lying west of
the Oconee River, cheaper and more speedily than
by any other route—and it is confidently expect
ed that the advantages afforded to the public by
this Lino of Packets, will ensure it a continuance
of the support which it has ‘heretofore received;
and justify the increased expense which the pro
prietors a a vo been at, in adding! to the Line the
line new Brig, Amelia Strong,-now on her first
voyage.

Having leased this stand for several years,
with, the intention ofrcuewing the lease or of pur
chasing the property, we consider ourselves per
manently located, and shall'continue to improve
our accomodations as the comfort of customers
shall require. • ' '
Our House-is now open for the reception of
Travellers or Boarders. Wc shall at all times
endeavor to keep'such a House, as will , ensure
public patronage; and wc hope to afford such ac
commodations as will prove satisfactory io those
who call on us.
