THE HILL ACADEMY.
THE Trustees to the above
Institution take pleasure in an
nouncing to the Citizens of
Monroe, and the adjacent
counties,.that they have suc
ceeded in engaging the profes
sional services of Mr. and
Mrs. Cleveland, proscut Rec
tor and Redress of the male
and female department of the
Cullodensviile Academy, for
the ensuing year.
The Hill Academy will open for the reception of
students on the 2d Monday, m January next, in which
will he successfully taught the mixed and solid Branch
es of an English and Classic Education; and as we
have limited this Institution to a definite number ofstu-
dents, parents and guardians will do well to avail them
selves of an earlv opportunity iu entering their Chil
dren anil Wards.
Mr. & .Airs. Cleveland bring with them a well earned
reputation, combining luoml worth, indefatigable in
dustry, superior discipline, and unquestionable ability,
with every requisite calculated to inspire us with a con
fidence, that the Seminary must succeed oven under
onliimry circumstances.' But when we reflect that
this Institution is pleasantly situated in the midst of a
dense population, one mile from the road leading from
Macon to Forsyth, 17 miles from the former, and 7
from the latter place, ill a neighborhood distinguished
for health and line water, and whose moral character is
-urpassed by none, reniotefromalltiievicesandimnior-
alittes common to towns and villages, together with the
convenience of Boarding with respectable families
near the Academy. We flatter ourselves tin; Hi|| A-
