A CERTAIN CURE FOR THE
HERNIA, (or RUPTURE,)
EFFECTED BY THE APPLICATION OF
DR. STAGNEJVS PATENT TRUSS.
HA M. PENDLETON respectfully tenders his
H A • service* to the citizens of Baldwin, Twiggs,
llibh, Crawford, aud Houston Counties,-who ore sub
jects of the above disease, and proffers to cure diem cer
tainly widtin the period of two or four mondis. In
case however,- of failure, no remuneration shall ho
expected, so certain is he of the remedy, applied. In
fact, had not multiplied cures have been already exhi
bited before the public view, the means used would
appear so fully adapted to die nature ol’the disease, and
the human system while laboring under it, as to elicit
the confidence of all who becomes acquainted widi it.
To those who may have any doubt of its efficacy, cer
tificates can be produced from some of die most res
pectable citizens of Warren county, as well as Physi
cians where the late Dr. J. M. Sprasens practised.—
Among whom are Henry Lockhart, M. D., J. T. Per-
soijs, >f. D„ Wm. P. Butt, M. D., Geo. K. Holloway,
M. D., and Messrs. James Adams. Billion Ivy, Thos.
Haley, Joliu Persons, and Samuel Smith, some of
whom were die subjects of a cure.
E. M. Pendleton may bo seen and consulted, at
Brown’- Hotel, Milledgeville. from die 7th Dec. till the
dose of il>-- session; then in Macon, at Huson’s Hotel,
till the 9fh of_ January; in Knoxville, from the
!)tth to the 14th; in Perry, from the 14th to the 18th;
in Marion, from the 18th to the 24th; then to Milled-
<>«vi!!e again, and until altered ha will expect to con-
ttnue th" same round, during the ensuing winter and
spring months, and attend regularly at . die time and

ing the 'public that they imve purchased two
Steaui Boats, the
BZACON, AND EXCSXi;
which boats are to run regularly between Darien and
Macon, leaving Darien once every week, with tow boats.
The steamboats will draw only 2G inches of water, With 2
good engines in each. The company have been to a
great expense to place this Line of steam boats on the
Ocmulgee and Altamaha rivers, and would respectful
ly solicit the patronage of die public.. This line will be
a great facility for merchants who wish to ship their
goods by die way of Savannah or Darien to Hawkins-
ville and Macon, or in shipping cotton to Savannah.—
Arrangements have been made to forward cotton or
goods without detention between Savannah and Dari
en. No exerdon or expense will be spared to give the
greatest despatch to goods or cotton shipped by this

F OR transportation to and from Macon, is now in
complete order. A superior new Steam Boat
called “David Crockett”,witli two powerful Engines,
and several first rate freight boats have been built since
the close of the last season and placed on the line.
Steam Boat Pioneer, Capt. Goodwin,
“ “ David Crockett, “ M' Cormick,
will ply regularly between Darien and Macon, one of
them leaving Darien about once a week with freight
boats in tow.
Steam Boat CHARLESTON,
Capt. Bonnell,
will run constantly between Darien and Savannah,
aud afford the greatest despatch to Cotton.
The subscriber's whole attention is devoted to facili
tating transportation between Macon and the Sea
Ports. He has invested a large sum to put his line in
the most complete order, and believes that his arrange
ments for giving despatch to freight and keeping it in
good order, whee in his care, will make it the interest
of Couon Shippers and Merchants ordering goods, to
continue their favors.
At Darien he has secure and convenient Warehouses
for reception of Goods, and his
Wharves there are covered
with sheds.
which enables him to keep all Cotton shipped on his
Boats under shelter and protected from the weather,

negro mqp by the name of JIM, about
30 years old,.6 feet high, rather slim
milt; narrow face, in-, front tipper
to2tli knocked out. Was r.. >i in
Columbia county in this Stated and it is
’possible he may have gone into that vicinity. He isa
shrewd cimning fellow, rather slow spoken, with a
down sly look.
Also runaway, about the last of Nov miser, a negro
woman by the’namo of JINNLY. about 27 years of
age, stout built, lias two of her front teeth knocked
out, rather of a yellowish complexion. It is j.iobable
she has gone wilhthe negro man above described.
A liberal reward will be paid on delivering said ne
groes to me in Jones county, near Lewis’s ferry, of
lodging them in jail, so that 1 may get them.

W HEREAS, by Resolutions of the General As
sembly of this Suite passed on the 20th De
cember, 1834, it is made the duty of the Executive "U»
offer a suitable reward for the apprehension of the
Cherokee Indians, SANTOOCA, (or log in the wa
ter,) JOHNSON and TITUS, who escaped from the
Jail of Gwinnett county, where they were confined?,
under sentencj of imprisonment iu the Penitential^
of this State." r
And, also, to offer a reward, in such sum as may be
deemed necessary to secure the arrest of two Uheru-
kee Indians, DUCK and SWIMMER, charged with
the murder of Er.i Hicks.—Ido, therefore, in-com
pliance with tho provisions of the s i hi resolutions, bere

DOLLARS to any person or persons who may appre
hend and deliver the said SANTOOCA JOHNSON
