I embrace this opportunity fur stating to von the great relief
I ootained from the use of your Sarsaparilla. 1 shall also
be happy, through yoi. to publish to all who are afflicted,
as 1 lately was, the account of my unexpected, and even for
a long time despaired of cure. Aline is a painlul story, aiut^
trving and sickening as is the narrative of it. for the sake of
manv who may be wo purely relieved. I will brietly yet ac
curately state it.
Nineteen years ago Inst April, a fit of sickness left me with
an Erysipelas eruption. Dropsical collections immediately
took place over the entire *o I face o fray body, causing such
an enlurgethetit dint it was necessary to add ayard to my
dresses around the waist. Next followed upon my limbs,
nicer* painful beyond description. For years, both in sum
mer and winter, the onlv mitigation of my sufferings was
found in pouring upon those parts cold water. From .uy
limbs the pain extended over my whole body—there was
literally forme no rest, by day or by night. Upon lying
down, these pains would shoot through my system and com
pel mate arise, and for hours together, walk the house, so
that 1 was almost entirely deprived of sleep. During this
time the Erysipelas continued active, and tiie ulcers eidar-

g?il, and so deeply have these eaten, that for two and a half
years they have been subject to bleeding. Dnrin? these al
most twenty years I have consulted many physicians. These
have called mv disease— as it was attended with an obstinate
couch and a steady and active pain in mv side—a dropsical
consumpsion; and* though they have been skilful practition
ers, they were only able to afford my cose a partial und.tem-
p Tory relief Iliad many other difficulties too c»mp.ica-
ted to describe. I have also used manv of the medicines
that have been rec •inmended ns infallible cures for this dis
ease. yet these nil failed, and 1 wos most emphatically
growipg worse. In this critical condition, given up by friends
and expecting fo. myself relief only in death. I was by the
kind interposition of Providence, furnished with your, to
■me. invaluable Sarsaparilla. A single bottle gave me an
assurance of health, wliich for twenty years I had not once
felt. Upon taking the second my enlargement diminished,
and in twelve days from the 6th of October, when I com
menced taking your Sarsaparilla, I was able to enjoy sleep
and rest bv night as refreshing as any I ever enjoyed when
in perfect hea'th. Besides, I was io this short rime, relie
ved from all those excruciating and unalleviated pains that
had afflicted my days, as well as robbed me of my night’s
repose. The ulcers upon my limbs ore healed, the Erysi
pelas cured, A my size reduced nearly to my former inebs-
ure.
Thus much do I feel it a privilege to testify to the efficacy
ofyour health restoring Sararpjrilla. A thousand thanks,
sirs, from one who^e comfort nnd whose hope of future
health are due under God. to your instrumentality. And
may the same Providence that directed roe to your aid.
