medicines to suit foem, by sending their symptoms i« wri-

medicines will reach all cases so as to cure them, but it will
hardly be doubted that ifproperly and carefully adminii-
tered, thousands that are now lingering out a“ liviDgdeatli"
might be greatly benefitted, and in many instances finallj
His medicines are taken from Nature’s laboratory, pre.
pared for the use of man by foe Great Chemist, who but
mows his wants, compared with whose preparations those
of men are as nothing, or if possible, worse, as every dty’i
iperience so fully demonstrates. But to the testimony.
The following eases are both peculiar though very com-
mon, (for that reason they are published,) the first a cast »f

Tarversville, Twiggs Co.Jan.l9th 1843.
Dr II. 8. Thomson:
Dear Sir—I am happy to be able to inform you that tli*
health of my negro woman Roda, since she felt you has been
steadily improving, till now I consider it nearly re-estib-
lished. Not having seen her while with you in Macon, I
was but little prepared to witness, without astonishment, the
great change that had taken place in her appearance, for in-
stead of the thin, ematiated and broken down person that I
sent you, she returned about the best looking negro upon
the plantation. When she left here I would have taken a
ten dollar bill for her,now sheis worth fifty timestbatmucl.
I am also happy to inform you that I have never had tba
feast return of any of the symptoms of that distressing com
plaint of which you so unexpectedly cured me three yean
ago, after Drs. Slappey, Dupree,Tomblin A Cumming.foor
of the most eminent of the faculty in these parts, had failed,
and the complaint had run on me for upwards of fifteen
years. I confess that when you said you thought you could
cure me I had very little faith, but now am convinced mott
thoroughly that their failure to cure disease is no good rea
son why such disease should be pronounced incurable,-and
am also convinced that complaints even of long standingmaj
be finally eradicated, if foe use of proper remedies is re
sorted to ; it has at feast been so in my case, and as I am in
different as to who knows it, I will, for foe benefit of those
similarly afflicted state that my complaint v. as gleet, and am
well assured that the publication of tins feci, should you
think it proper, would carry iov to the hearts of many now
hopeless of relief, by pointing them to where tney may ob-
tain a remedy. . . ., _
Wishing you every success in your laudable enoru to
advance the'stan iard of true medical science, I subscribe
myself yours wifo every senfimen^.frospec^
I have been cured of a disease similar to the above,by
Dr. Tin mson, after having had it for upwards of twelve
months THUS. K. FULLER.
Monroe Co. 13th Jan. 1843.
This may- ceitify that my son John has been afflicted witk
lumbago, or rheumatism, for upwards of two years, in that
time he had been subjected to very severe attacks, during
which he was unable to wajk or even stand, and when lay
ing down was unable to rest in any other position tbanonlil
abdomen, suffering acutely in painlul misery. In this situ
ation I applied to Dr. Thomson, of Macon, who soon re-
stored liim to comfortable health ; he has had no att&ck ii
the la6t twelve months. JOH^i BL’Rb'V t £enr.
Macon, 19th Jan. 1843.
This will certify that I hare been afflicted with rheuma
tism for five years, sometimes in such agony that I could
neither sit nor stand, and with difficulty lie down, dorm;
which time 1 found nothing that could benefit me, till I ap
plied to Dr. Thomson, who with one prescription entirclj
cured me, in the short space of three weeks. I have ku
noreturnof it in eighteen "onth*.^^ HOWEIL
Macon county, 10th Jan. 1843.
This may certify that for upwards of two years 1 fciy.
had a disease in my chest, which was frequently very dis
tressing, sometimes almost stopping my breath, in such s
wav as to make me believe that my end was near. I often
suffered greatly from pain, which deprived life of its pleas
ures and almost made it a burden. 1 was in this state when
I applied to Dra. Thomson A Woodruff, who. I am happy
to say, soon restored me to my usual health, which I hate
enjoyed now near two years without having anv attack ot
my old complaint. ELIAS A. WALLACE.
Macon. Ga. 6th April 184*.
About 6 months ago I was violently attacked wiih tcut*
rheumatism, the pain cf which was so excrutianng that 1
could neither get in or ont of bed, or even indress myself
without assistance, and would often cause me torry like a
child. I was treated by one of the best mineral Physicians
in foe city, but withnut apparent benefit, for I continued to
get worse till I applied to Dr. Thomson, who soon eradica
ted foe disease from my system, and left me in better health
than I had enjoyed in eighteen months.

Nineteen years ago last April, afitofsickness feittne

an enlargement that it was necessary to add a yard W “V

found in pouring upon those parts cold water. Irom iJ
