Tnese sentiments were just. honed, and Demicritic
Thev accordingly limited the reJnc.i in t tey reeomme i led
t* 13 per cent. Their views -were concurred in by the
House, and a resolution to that effect was ad >p*ed. On
these terms the | riming of Congress was done by Messrs
Blair A Rives during the balance nf the '-6th Congress.
The result was. a reduction no m their bit’s and a saving to
the Government of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND SE
VEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS.

practice. retrenchment and re firm.
In March 1840. they were in favur of reducing the price
of printing /n ruty-fee per rent.
In dune 1841 they actually reduced it ttrrnly per cent.
And in March 1813. they reinstated the prices to on! mg
to the standard of 1819. making their act retrospective to
the commencement if the IVA/o Dynasty !
Tney thus added twenty-five pe- cent, to the prices
which their printers had offered to do the work for. a.id had
