used for the dance hall than will he used

a- to give as firm and smooth a floor as

The architect of the building expects to

Landrum Ledge met yesterday afternoon
n the lodge room at Masonic Hall to dis
, uss ways and means for acquiring fur

purpose of covering systematically the en

tickets on the articles already donated.
Mrs. Robert L. Cooper Is the chairman
nf this committee, and Miss Sarah Dall
dsclieimer is the vice chairman.
The ladies were welcomed by Mr. H.
K. Wilson, who thanked them for their
presence, and told them that from the
large number present he had no doubt
that with their assistance, the booth of
Landrum Lodge would be the best in the
Fair, and the lodge, as it has always done
in the past, would make the best show
ing of any engaged in tho work.
Mr. Noble F. Martin distributed a num
ber of books on the articles that have
re rntly been contributed. The ladies ad
journed to meet in the lodge*room again
next Friday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock.when

help the cause along.

this afternoon at 4 o’clock, and those of
Zcrubbabel at 5 o’clock, to perfect ar
rangements similar to those of the auxil

.11 \IOR V. >l. C. A. GYMNASTS.
Their Spring Exhibition to Come OfY
Thursday Afternoon.
The gymnasium exhibftion of the junior
department. Y. M. C. A., will take place
at the Y. M. C. A. Hall Thursday after
noon at 4 o’clock.
The boys of the Junior Department are
among the most enthusiastic athletes of
the association and have worked long,
faithfully, and to good purpose, for the
coming exhibition. They have taken part
in fo iner exhibitions with the older mem
bers of the association and have always
acquitted themselves well, but this is 'to
be a distinctly junior affair, so their pride
has been aroused to duplicate or even ex
ceed the success of all former athletic
events.
Each member of the class will be al
lowed five cards of admission with which
to present his friends. Admittance to the
hall will be granted only to holders of
these tickets.
TOOK AN ATTACHMENT.
Patient Took Legal Steps to Have
His Fee Refunded.
An attachment was taken out In Justice
C. D. Kline’s court yesterday against
Prof. A. J. Dexter by Mr. J. Yarbrough.
The plaintifl claimed that Prof. Dexter had
contracted with him to cure him within
three months of a severe case of catarrh.
A consideration of $25 for this service wa-t
paid over.
The plaintiff claimed that he learned that
T’rof Dexter was on the point of leaving
the city, and, os he had been treated for
but sixty days and his catarrh had not
been cured, he thought he was entitled
to the restitution by the professor of the
f'*e he had paid. Accordingly he visited
tho magistrate’s office.
The case was settled, Prof. Dexter pav
ing the costs and refunding the fee at
once.
