our mind what we should offer as a

some circus company, and seeing
what could be done with that as a
premium for 750 new subscribers,
who will promise not to get behind

Dr. Alexander's new residence is
sufliiiently near completion to re
ceive the paint. When complete it
will be the handsomest and best
house in the village.
Mr. J tines Riley is moving info the
village in order to reap the advant
age- of the May-ville Institute
There is a prospect that Hon. (’ran
Oliver will move in for the same
purpose. The work of plastering the
building has eommeneed. and the
pupils will find plea-ant winter quar
ters therein. The exercises will be
resumed on the first Monday in
January, mid ('apt. Evans, the prin
cipal, informs ns that the prospect is
good for a larger school than ever
