It is my painful duty to an nounce the death of Uncle Sea born S. McGarrity, who died at his residence Tuesday night tho 15th inst. Almost the entire com munity attended his burial at Pleasant Grove c lunch to-day. Very great sympathy was mani fested by all present. Deceased was among the oldest settlers in this part of the county. He was noted for his untiring industry ami for the special care and at tention which he bes owed upon bis family, Ho commenced life poor, but had accumulated somo means, besides giving all his children a moderate education. More anon. Nineteenth. Mount /ion Notes. The rain that fell last Sunday evening was very much needed. The health of the settlement is improving, List Sunday was set apart to organize a Sabbath School at Mt, Zion; but few in attendance, anil was postp mod till the fourth Sabbath iu this month. AVe do appeal to all good people in this community to take an active part iu organizing a Sabbath school at Mount Zion, we have a great many young people and children in our midst that spends tlie Sabbath iu folly. Some of them that have arrived to years of ma turity, can’t read the Bible. Ev ery one should not let these op portunities slip.
