He found his faoo flushed up and those of his children taking on the same hue, and felt that sollic king was wrong. Mr. Matthews as soon as possible, called Dr. H Perdue to the rescue. On his arrival the doctor ut once dis covered that something poison ous had been taken into tho stom itch by Mr. Matthews and two or three of the children, and prr- eee'lod to delivor an emetic. While Mrs. Matthews gavo no signs of being pois mod us the other members of the family, she ■He was brought under the same treatment and by noon there was no probnoility of serious results to any niembet of the family, It stems that Mr. Matthews had bought some cheese and candy.
