It seems that our City Fathers ■re having soma trouble with the whiskey traffic, although they t bought they had the matter satisfactorily arranged. It wil* l»e remembered that the Mayer and Couuoil of Dallas, iu consid eration of ’lie sum of ono thous and doll rs, each, grau ed lo Mesers Abies & Turner, and to Esq., o' Elberton, arrayed against the cnuse of true liberty, who spoke very eloquently against the vital interust of the great question of prohibition. Next we were highly entertain -d with a ..pouch from Col. Bcuddy, from South Carolina, whose speech the descriptive p overs of the English language would fail to describe; it rnis rich and racy, and very sarcastic on the views of the im ported anti-prohibitionist, whose name has been mentioned, and I guess ho was jxiin as well as Payne. Col Bcuddy was follow ed by Rev. A. A, Marshal, who pained the bar-room gang a little too, in his pointed sarcastic wits and eloquent way. Dr. Win, o Postponed sli e r i ff sales.
