It Is not known how the cartridge came to be in tbe fire, hat it is supposed that it w„s carelessly dropped on ihe floor and when the house was swept up it was swept into tie tire. Mr. Bullock's Won ds, while by no means dangerous, are very painful. It was indeed a narrow esi ape for the ehild, as • he ball which entered Mr. Bullock's wrist was compelled to pass in very close range of the child, and, if it had stiuck it, no doubt would have produced death.
