Mr. Kilitoi:—
We come this week with the sad
news of two deaths this week in
eur midst.
Mr. James Henderson, eldest
son of Mr. John Henderson, died
this morning, the 13th inst. lie
was about 21 or 22 years of ago.
Mr. J M. Cole’s son, Jesse, is
improving.
Mrs. Sophronia Wilson, wife of
Mr. G. W. Wilson, died on tho 10,
inst. She was born May the 5th
1857, and was married Jan. 10th
1875, to G. W. Wilson.
She joined the primitive baptist
church, at Union, nearEtnb-y.Ga.,
;n the year 1882. She was sicn
only nine days.
She leaves s bereaved husband
and eight children, tho youngest
only tea days old.
Before she died, she guvu her
babe to the wife of her brotkej,Mr.
John M. Moedy.
The husband has lost a kind,
loving, an 1 affoctionate wife; the
church at Un'ou, a worthy mem
ber; and this community, a kind
and welcome neighbor.
The husband of the deceased,has
been known among his neighbors
as a good, moral, steady citizen, and
always kind and nffcctiunaie to
his wife and childrcr, more co
than the average husband and fa
ther. Yet, ho says that ’ « now
secs and feels that he cmid have
been more so. So it is, this is one
failing with which wo are all posses
sed. We all could s|Hin J a great deal
more t.mo at home helping oui
wives bear the burdens of life.
Many times men leavo h mu t

children, to get in a crowd to pas?
time a d talk } olitics. Tiny nev
er once think of their wives at
ho.nc, of how btirdensoino and
lonely is their pathway of life.
Perhaps those only to whoso un
