about the introduction of his medicine in

dertake tiie cine of Some persons then in
tiie house, whose cases were given up as
incurable by the medical gentlemen, that
he.was confident of curing by his medicine
those.cases, and would undertake someol

ho derived from the service rendered.
I promised to consult the other managers
and did so; Iml I found that some of the
medical gentlemen in the house had labour

hyslcians. Others opposed it altogether.

eye ivns already destroyed, the left eye jit a
traded more than half an inch out of the
socket; the flesh of the left check was one
complcto ulcer—-tlio flesh of tho tioso had
disappeared, nnd left tho nostrils two na
ked h.oles^-the upper lip on the left side,
was destroyed, nnd the teeth nnd gums
bare, and tlio w hole face, as il appeared to
tne,in a state of dissolntlohjher -appetite had
left her—slip'represented a living skeleton
frightful to Behold.—Mr Swaim said ho
could cure Her, he could not restore the lost
eye, nor Vesture the nose, hut ho could res
tore the left eye and the 'month. ^
