Spirit uf Turpentine.—Caution. An oil
of black pepper may lie found in the mar
ket, obtained by distillation—tills is by nn
means the same as tlto article above descri
bed. and is very feeble, if not entirely des.
iitute uf the particular property for which
the above has been introduced. One
drop of nil til black pepper, edited to six
grains of quinine, will greatly Increase the
powers of this reptrdy.
Extract of Quinine. This Is the resid
uum of the preparation of Quinine. Two
grains arc fully equal to one'of the former;
and, as it is loss than one third the price, it
js of cour-e much cheaper to the practitiun-
— than the sulphate.
