LE CORDIAL DE LUCINE.
OU L'EUXUl DE L'AMOUU.
fSIHE aubwiibar has the pleasure or an.
-M. nonnoiiig la iho citizen, oflha U. Slate.,
that he ha. purohaied.for a very large mm and
from the inventor, tho celolirated Dr. Magnin,
of Paris, the recipe and right for making this
astonishing medicine. Until tho appearance
of the 'Lucina Cordial,’ (about three yenrs
since,) it wai thuiight that the complaints,
which it speedily overcomes, were beyond the
reach of human remedy, as fur upwards of a
thousand yonrs, they kud baffled the wisdom
and ingenuity ofllie most profound physicians
ill all purls of the world. This Cordial, how
ovor, t» thu groat advantage of tlio human race,
soon proved itself to bo tho desideratum so long
sought for; and accordingly, notwithstanding
tho orief period of its exigence, it has required
a celebrity so great, that it is ougotly inquired
for throughout tho civilized globo. Dr. Mug*
nin soon finding thut the demand was so vast
as to render a supply impossible, disposed of
the recipe and right of sale, under obligations
ofsocreoy, for England, the Uuitod States, and
other countries, only preserving France and
Ituly for himself. Thus has the subscriber pos*
sessod himself of tho invaluable secret, and now
hastens to give the inhabitants of his line of
agency tho benefits of his speculation.
‘Lo Cordial De Luciue’ or, in English, 'the
Lucina Cordial,’ is a general invigorutor of the
human frame! (n all tho various cases of lau*
guor, lassitude, and debilitation; it is un unfaiU
tug reined); us it is equally its province to iui
part cheerfulness and decision to tho uiiud, os
health and vigor to thu body. But the peculiar
virtue on which its celebrity is based, is the fa
cility nnd certainty with which it restores the
virile powers when they have been destroyed
by diseaso, time, recklessness, or any oftbo nip
merotts cuihos which terminate iu the prostra
tion of those functions.
In common with the generality of really good
medicines, this Cordial contains nothing of a
morcurialor deleterious nature, among the mu'
ny ingredients which compose it; butts, at the
same time, so simple, yot so oflic icious, that
while it can renovate tho prostrated energies of
u giant, eii infant may use it, not only with iuu
Punity, but with advantage.
Tho usages nfsociety are unfortunately sitoh,
that, notwithstanding the benefits which would
bo sure lo result from it, we cannot enter into
an analysis of this inestimable Cordial here, or
publish iiiuiiv of the documents which have
been received, as vouchers of the blessings it
has conferred on numbers ofdesps|ting iudivid.
iiuls. But Ibis we cannot forbear remarking—
that it has been demonstrated that there is
scarcely ever, if any such thing at all, as iialn*
ral barrenness, or as natural imbecility ufthe
proereant functions, in either sex; and therefore
that these evils are the offocts of artifioiul cauio
es,nud may be speodily subdued and removed
Uw use of ‘Le Cordial do Lucino.’
The Lucina Cordial is also an indubitable
cure for the Gleot, and the Fluor Albas, ob
structed. difficult, or painful Menstruation; also,
for the incontinence ofIJriuo, or the involunta
ry discharge thereof. It js likowiso an invahi
able and unrivalled medicine in cases of Chroiii
io Eruptions of the skin, and iu tho drunsicul
affection* of the aged.
Most important to the American Public.
The United States proprietor of the celebra*
ted'Lucina Cordial,’ or'Elixir of liove.’ begs
to lay before the community, the following cor*
fificate, which he has received from the iuvcu
tor, the illustrious Dr. Magnin, of Paris;
•This is to certify, that I have disposed of tho
recipe for making tlio,'Lucina Cordial,’ or *E
iixir of Love,' and also the right to sell itthrough
out thn United States of North America, to
John Winters Hulderwell, M.D, My reasons
for so doing is, that the demands to me for the
above Cordial, of which I am the inventor, are
so numerous, that I am unable to supply all tho
orders from France and Italy alone; and have
therefore disposed of the privileges vouchsafed
in this, and other certificates of a like not ire in
order to generalise tho benefits of my discovery
throughout the world.

scheme, to fulfil which, requires our utmost at*

Dr. Peters has spent much timo in experi

for diseases of the liver, nud now offers bis Veg
etable Pills, ns the best, most convenient, nud
cheapest Medicine that can bo prepared for
general use.
One great quality of his vegetable Pills is that
they have the alternative principle combined
with their cathartic, or operative qualities, or that
they not only cleanse the itomach and bowels
by purging, but they regulnto the liver, change
he morbid secretion, strengthen tho digestive
organs, purify the blood, invigaratn the circulai
tion i ana gives tono and energy to the nervous
system.
They are mild and pleasant in their operation
and convey almost immediate conviction of their
utility from thoir (list doso. They can bo inken
with safety by porxoui of any nge; and the feet
bio, the infirm, tbo norvousuml tho deliente are

dear the system ofbad humours, quiet nervous
irritability, and invariably produce sound
health.
Tho Vogotable Pills are a sure remedy fur

costivuuuss, sickness of the stomach, heartburn,
all billious complaints, fevers of all kinds, and if
taken at tho commencement will invariable
