election held here last Tuesday for a
Constitution; 1 Convention. There be
ing uo opposition to the regular Domi
noes the following vote was polled; For

tion. 62; Seaborn ilall, regular nomi
nee for Convention, 61; Benjiinaii
Blitch. independent for Convention, 12;
total number votes polled, 105. The
day being very l'dny and disagree able
the people seemed to take more inter
est in planting out potatoe draws than
they did in coining to tire polls. How
ever, it’s a very bright idea of them to
plant while it is seasonable, fi r pota
toes will not live in the burning sand.
