BELOW we publish n number of letter?, fer wbicb wo request a careful
perusal. Mativ people liave been taken iu by glaring advertisements, so that it
is often very difficult to convince them of the truth. But lam _ determined to
be known all over this country as a strictly honorable business man, and hnv
adopted this method to convince everybody. A postal card of inquiry will'
determine their genuineness. Certainly with such proofs as these, who dare
still doubt our integrity? We are proud of possessing these letters, and we
publish but a small'portion of those we have, and with considerable pride wo
assert that there is not another Dry Goods House in this country which can
produce such a number of bona fido recommendations.

TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE OF THE FOLLOWING :
AVe will semi samples to any one who will write us for them, with prices at
tacbed, provided a three cents postage stamp i- s enclosed aud every article
mentioned wliicli panic* desire, aod can bo sampled.
1. Remember that samples only give au idea of what goods are, hut do not
give tiie article fud jus dec.
2. D > not lit’.ve any hesitancy in ordering the goods you want, for we cnai
antce evvy artiele to come up to sample, and if unsatisfactory, it can be
GETUKVED to us at OCE EXPENSE and WE WILE IIEFUND THE MONEY.
3 Should any article turn out unsatisfactory, which might oecur through an

trouble aud expense oi returning, . .
4. Calicoes we cannot always match in the pattern, as we sell large quantities
of goods and it is impossible to keep every pattern for any length of time.
Such and similar goods we guarantee to fid, by giving the same quality, and us
near the pattern as possible.
5. AVe ask as a favor, that parties ordering good*, be very particular m
writing their name and shipping point in piain letters, to avoid mistakes, also to
make their order as definite as possible, especially on articles, of which samples
cannot bo sent, we would ask to give us a limit in tho price, to enable us to
form a proper idea of what the article is to be.
6. Whenever it is possible, we prefer the money the order, but
wo will s nJ the goods C. O. D. {cash on delivery) by Express, and if hequester,
we will instruct the agent to open tho package for examination, before paying'

7. Ve do not sell on credit under any consideration' If previously

8. Do not order any goods unless you have the money ready to pay for it.
D. We prepay the freight ou all orders amounting to twenty dollars or over.
This is the very best we cn do, for our profit is so slight (as we lleiail our
goods at Wholesale Prices) that wo cannot do better. AVe admit, there are
houses who pay freight on ten dollars worth of goods, but common s -nse tearaes
plainly, that their profit must be larger than ours, or else they could not, a Jpi"!
to do it and therefore in such cases, the party ordering the goods o"stich a
house, pax’s the freight after aII—ONLY INDIRECTLY.
