LITTLE JOHNNY JONES'
As Seen at the Rawlins Theatre Last
Night.
"Little Johnny Jones,” George M.
Cohan’s great musical-comedy hit of
the season, the same attraction that
earlier in the season threw New York,
Chicago, and Philadelphia Into laugh
ing fits, was the attraction nt the
Rawlins theatre Inst night, and it
came near doing the same thing for
Albany.
“Johnny” was greeted by the larg
est house of the season, excepting, of
course, that of "The Clansman,” and
It was probably the most enthusiastic
audience, as well,
“Johnny” Is so distinctly “Cohan-
tsh” that one can not keep from
laughing at the funny situations, and
the catchy, semt-phllosophicnl, and
seml-i'idlcnlous slang that Is woven
through the play, dialogue and song.
Without regard to the Individual
players, the chorus last night wns the
best that has appeared heie this sea
son. It was large, and the girls had
everything to commend them—beauty,
shapeliness, good voices, and pretty
costumes—all tills, In addition to the
fact that they were graceful and well
drilled.
William Keough, as “The tin-

was cleverly conceived, but not one
,whlt less cleverly executed. He took
the part of a man off on a good-na
tured, “gentlemanly” drunk, to per
fection. He couldn’t open his mouth,
or take a step, without causing a
laugh.

BLOOD POISON CURED
A Desperate Struggle and How it Endec..
Just 27 miles from the classlo city of Athens, Ga.,’ Is located the thriv
ing little town of Maxey’s the residence of Mr. Robert Ward, who has
Just been released from the most perilous predicament, the particulars
of which he has consented to give to the public. He writes tas follows:
Maxey’s Oglethorpe Co., Ga., July 1.
For 12 or 14 years I have been n great sufferer with a terrible form of
Blood Poison (Syphilis), which ran Into the secondary, and finally It was
pronounced a ter’larv form. My head, face and shoulders became almost
a solid mass of corruption, and finally the disease commenced eating
away my skull bones. I became so horribly repulsive that for three years
I absolutely refused to let people see me. I used large quantities of the
most noted blood remedies, and applied to nearly all physicians near me,
but my condition continued tot grow worse, and all said l must surely die.
My bones became the seat of excruciating aches and pains; my nights
were passed In misery; I was reduced In flesh and strength; my kid
neys were terribly deranged, and life became a burden.to me.
I chanced to see an advertisement of B. B. B., and Bent to W. 0.
Btrchmore & Co., merchants of our place, and they procured one bottle for
me. It was used with decided benefit. I continued Its use and when eight
or ten bottleB had been used was pronounced sound and well.
Hundreds of sears can now be seen on me, looking like a man who
had been burned and then restored. My case is well known In this coun
ty, and for the benefit of others who may be similarly affected, I think
It my duty to give facts to the public, and to extend my heartfelt thanks
for so valuable a remedy. I have been well over 12 months, and no re
turn of the disease has occurred.
