Mr. Abe Ash, of Chicago, arrived In
the city yesterday. He will spend
several weeks with his wife, at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.
Flelsher, on Commerce street.
Mr. J. Rosenberg will leave on Sat
urday for New York, to spend some
time on business.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Posey, of Oak-
field. were shopping in the city yes
terday afternoon.

the meeting of the Young Ladies’ Card
Club.
The color scheme of light blue was
faithfully and tastefully'carried out.
The score cards wore bine forget-me-
nots. Delicious refreshments were
served at the conclusion of the games.
Miss Mary Helen Mnllette won the
first prize, a pretty scarf pin, and the
second prize, a hnnd-palnted picture,
wns won by Mrs. Roy Bell.
Mr. Frank Sherman, a well-known
member of the drummers’ brigade, is
spending the day in Albany.
Mr. Ed Andrews, of Newton, wns
looking nfter business interests In Al
bany yesterday.
Mr C. D. Smith returned to the city
yesterday from Atlnntn. after a visit
there of a few days.

day in Baconton, his former home,
with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Mott moved yes
terday into the home formerly occu

J. Sale. The home is on Broad street.
Mr. and Mrs. Mott will live there here-

dren are In the city for a few days.
Mrs. Sale and children returned to
Albany yesterday from Dawson, where
they visited several days.
Mr. C. J. T. Parlis, of Macon, came
down to attend the dove shoot this
morning. He returned homo at noon.
Mr. W. H. Little, of Cordele, is
spending the day In the city on busi
ness.
Mrs. E. F. Jackson and Miss Rosa
Woolfoik are entertaining at cards this
afternoon In honor of Miss Maria
Woolfoik, who is visiting here.
Mr. W. L. Bixby, of Baltimore, Is
registered at the New Albany hotel
today.
Mr. C. B. Avery, of Beloit, is at
tending to business affairs here today.
Mrs. J. A. Davis and Mrs. J. S. Davis
left the city today for Cuthbert, where
they will visit for a tew days.
Mrs. E. F. Jackson entertained the

fully yesterday afternoon. Mrs. C. W.
Rawson won the first prize, and Mrs.
W. H. Gilbert the second. Delicious
refreshments were served during the
progress of the games.
Mr. Harry Kendall left the city at
noon for his home in Macon, after
taking in the dove shoot this morning.
