Where Baking
Begins Right
The baking of the NATIONAL BisCUIT COMPANY
begins with right material, and every step there
after through the whole process of baking is
rightf There is not one point of quality that
care, skill and modern bakeries could make better.
It is perfection itself—through and through.
It Ends Right
when it reaches your table untouched by strange hands,
untainted by odors. The quality, oven-flavor and freshness
are preserved in a dust and moisture proof package, distin
guished by the trade mark here shown. It always appears
in red and white on each end of the package and warrants
the perfect condition of the contents. For example try
packages of
GRAHAM CRACKERS—possessing the rich, nutty
flavor of graham flour—unlike any graham crnckcrs you
ever tasted.
FROTANA—a temptingly delicious union of biscuit
and fruit—the newest delicacy of the National Biscuit
Company.

Your 5 cents buys 3 full-sized, perfect cheroots,— 1 “Fivc-

It’s the little useless head that takes more time to make

You can pay 15 cents for three cigars with the heads on,—
but why should you when 5 cents will buy three cigars of
substantially as good quality with the heads cut off?
First thing you do is to clip the head off, anyway.

The fragrant filler of the Old Virginia Cheroot is blended from short
leaves and selected clippings, of fine domestic leaf, — developed and re
fined by a long process before they reach the factory. .
There is only one way that such tobacco can be worked up into
cheroots at the price of 5 cents for 3.
—And that one way is the modern systematic method which pro

Many Sportsmen Enjoyed Good Shoot- 1

The biggest dove shoot of the sea

the Farkas place, about five miles
south of the city.
The birds had been baited for some
time In the center of an Immense field,
and the shooting was unusually good
There were plenty of birds* and except
for the fact that the wind was high
there was nothing to be desirfcd.
There were perhaps as many as sev

In the field went above the limit fixed
by law, but “forty” bags were report

There will be other shoots during
the present month and in March, but
that of this morning will probably re

“THE DEE8TRICT 8KULE."
An Entertainment for Benefit of the
Preebyterian Church.
On Thursday evening, February 8,
there will be given at the opera house
a most unique and attractive enter
tainment, entitled " The Deestrlct
Skule.” In tills entertainment the
stage settings will be that of an old-
time village sqhoolhouse, and the per
formers well-known ladles and gentle
men, who will be veritable school girls
and boys again. These lads and las
sies, In costumes suited to the occa
sion, will regale the audience with old-
fashioned songs, recitations, dialogues,
etc., and will be directed In their el•/
forts by the associate principals of the
school, a lady and gentleman whose
talents In this line are beyond criti
cism, and who will demonstrate to the
queen's taste their ability to “teach
the young Idea how to shoot.”
The entertainment Is for the benefit
of the Presbyterian church, and we
bespeak for "The Deestrlct Skule" a
large audience, for besides aiding in
so worthy a cause, few will be able
to resist the “rich, rare and racy”
program which will he published In
full at a later date.
