BLOOD POISON CURED
A Desperate Struggle and How It Endec..
Just 27 miles from the classlo city of Athens, a a., Is located the thriv
ing little town of Maxey’s the residence of Mr. Robert Ward, who has
Jnst been released from the most perilous predicament, the particulars
of which he has consented to give to the public. He writes tas follows:
Maxev’s Ogle'horpe Co., Ga., July 1.
For 12 or 14 years I have been a great sutferer with a terrible form of
Blood Poison (Syphilis), which ran Into the secondary, and finally It was
pronounced a tertiary form. My head, face and shoulders became almost
a solid mass of corruption, and finally the disease commenced eating
away my skull bones. I became so horribly repulsive that for three years
I absolutely refused to let people see me. I used large quantities of the
most noted blood remedies, and applied to nearly all physicians near me,
but my condition continued tot grow worse, and all said I must surely die.
My bones became the seat of excruciating acheB and pains; iny nights
were passed in misery; I was reduced In fiesh and strength; my kid
neys were'terribly deranged, and life‘became a burden to me.
i I chanced to see an advertisement of B. B. B„ and sent $1 to W. C.
Blrchmore & Co., merchants of our place, and they procured one bottle for
me. It was used with decided benefit, l continued Its u«e and when eight
or ten bottles had been used was pronounced sound and well.
Hundreds of scars can now be Been on me, looking like a man who
had been burned and tpen restored. My case is well known in this coun
ty, and for the benefit of others who may be similarly affected, I think
it my djity to give factB to the public, end to extend my heartfelt thanks
for so valuable a remedy. I have been well over 12 months, and no re
turn of the disease has occurred. POBERT WARD.
Maxey’s Ga., July 1.
We, the undersigned, know Mr. Robt. Ward, and take pleasure In stat
ing that the facts as above stated by y him are' true, and that his was one
of the worst cases of Blood Poison m ever knew In our county, and
that he has been cured by the use of B. B. B.—Botanic Blood Balm.

To the Editor of The Herald:
~ Kindly permit me through your ex
cellent paper to call the attention of
the city officials who are responsible
for It, to the unjust discrimination
agalnBt residents • of North Washing
ton street, which was recently prac
ticed In the distribution of street
lights.
As you know, it Is the rule to place
arc lights at the Intersection of the
principal streets, and this rulo ob
tains un Washington to Society street,
but at, the next cross street, First, and
Washington, no light lias been placed,
though at Second street, crossing and
all through Arcadia they ave blazing
at each intersection of the streets.
If light is a good thing, why should
it ho withheld from thrt most traveled
and populous thoroughfare In the
newly ncnulred territory of the city
limits? Is it because there are no
favorite sons to consider hero? Or Is
light too much of a luxury for the
poor of Byne’B Hill and the numerous
pedestrians who plod In darkness at
this benighted pjpee that has fallen
under the ban of the city officials?
In behalf of many who thought they
were under the aegis of the city’s ben
efits as well as its burdens, wo would
Inquire why we should be left In "out
er darkness”?
Very truly yours,
W. H. MILLER.
