Attantn, On., Feb. 11.—W. B. Weav-
er, one of the receivers for the South
ern Mutual Building and Loan Asso
ciation, which went to the wall several
years ago, is busy mailing checks for
the final dividend of the concern. Tho
dividend is 2.7 per cent. When the
checks have been paid and returned,
it is probable that the receivers will
ask the court to dismiss them. It is
understood that the final dividend Is
represented by *7,000 checks.
W. C. Halo was president of the
company and IT. P. Williams its sec
retary. When it failed, Judge James
A. Anderson, of Atlanta, and M. A.
O’Bryne, of Savannah, were appoint
ed receivers. When Judge Anderson
died Mr. Weaver was named in his
stead.
