The Only Born King,
From the Boston Herald.
>eve Is a fact about King Alfonso
well worth knowing. Of all the kings
who have ever lived, with the sole ex
ception of Jean I of France, who lived
but a few hours, he Is the only one to
be a king from the moment of his first
breath—a veritable “bom king.” And
dnce he is much spoken of these days
It is not amiss to know tils name,
which is, His Most Catholic Majesty
Don AlfonBO XIII, King of Spain, of
Castile, of Leon, of Aragon, of the two
Sicilies, of Jerusalem, of Navarre, of
Gibraltar, of the Western and Eastern
Indies, of the Oceanic Continent, Arch
duke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy,
of Brabant and Milan, Count of HapB-
burg, of Flanders, of the Tyrol, and
Grand Master of the Golden Fleece.
This is not really all. blit It is a good
deal to live up to, even for a king.

Sir Francis Burnard Has Resigned

London, Feb. 15.—Sir Francis Bur
nard has resigned the editorship of
Punch, after an associatlbn with that
journal of forty-four years.
All old-time, Cough Syrups bind the
bowels. This is wrong. A new idea
was advanced two years ago in Ken
nedy's Laxative Honey and Tar. This
remedy acts on the mucous mem
branes of the throat and lnngs and
loosens the bowels at the same time.
It expels all cold from the system. It
clears the throat, strengthens the mu
cous membranes, relieves coughs,
colds, croup, whooping cough, etc.

Startling But True.
the world over were horrified
on 'learning of the burning of a Chica
go theatre in which nearly six hundred
people lost their lives, yet more than
five times this number, or over 3,000
people, died from pneumonia in Chi
cago during the same year, with
scarcely a passing notice. Every one
of these cases of pneumonia resulted
from a cold and could have been pre
vented by the timely use of Chamber

who had every reason to fear pneu

prompt use of this remedy. The fol
