Democratic voters of Dougherty
county are hereby reminded of the
fact that they now have /only a few
more days in which to qualify them
selves for voting in the white Demo
cratic primary for the nomination of
candidates for county offices. The pri
mary is ordered for Thursday, 22nd
Inst., and the law requires that tliol
registration books shall be closed ten
days before the primary so ns to give
the registrars time in which to review j
and revise the list. The registration
book will therefore have to be closed
on Saturday, March 10. The Herald
Is calling the attention of voters to
this matter at the request of Capt.
J. T. Hester, our worthy tax collector,
for their own Information.

Of interest to many people in tills
section is the information given out
\iy the Albany Business League that
there is a movement on foot to Intro
duce into this country about one hun
dred Brahman or Sacred Bulls, as they
are called. They will’all come to the
South, and Georgia will probably get
as many as eight. Out of this num
ber Albany lopes to get at least three.
These bulls are free from all diseases
and Insects, and would Increase the
size of the present Georgia stock 50
per cent., It is asserted. The man 1
who will import these bulls has se
cured a special permit from CongresB,
Representative Griggs of Georgia and
Representative Moore of Texas push
ing the matter through.

be here on March 9 with the congres
