Miss Ida Virginia Smith, who is to
have charge of the children’s physi
cal culture department of the Eigh
teenth Annual Assembly of the Geor
gia Chautauqua, will arrive from In
dianapolis tomorrow afternoon, and
announcement is made that she # wlll
meet her classes at the auditorium at
3:30 o’clock on Monday’afternoon.
It is of the ntmpst importance that
all the children who are to take ad
vantage of the opportunity afforded by
Miss Smith’s coming be at the audi
torium on Monday afternoon prepared
to begin work.
The course is free. Each child be
coming a member of either of the
classes 1b merely required to purchase
a season ticket of the eighteenth as
sembly. . The price of the ticket is $l f
and it entitles the holder to the entire
physical culture course, as well as to
admission to all the auditorium exer
cises during the assembly.
Parents whose children have taken
the physical culture course in the past
will readily realise the ; importance pt
having them begin the work this sea-

sending through the United States
mall an obscene and threatening letter
to Mrs. John Cdllis, of G9 Tennllle
street, Mrs. Willie CoIIIb, agod 22,The
divorced wife of John Collls, husband
of the woman to whom the letter wns
sent, has been arrested and Is now In
police headquarters, pending a pre
liminary trial. .
Several weeks ago the woman who
Is now a prisoner swallowed an over
dose of laudanum at her home on Bush
street ami came near dying. ''She dis
claims having written the letter o(
which she is charged with being the
author."^. The police' thinlc the lotter

the Georgia Chantanqua will open at
the auditorium on next Monday after
