pears to have originated In the am

county of Grady, and we get notice
of It through the following dispatch,

velt as many secretaries as the terri
bly onerous duties of her position re
quire, but let it be stated openly and
frankly for what the money Is to be
used. That Is the business of Con
gress, and Congress ought to attend
to it”

now command higher prices than they

eases which flourish In the Islands.
The latest pest reported Is an epidemic
In Guam of what is declared to be a
disease more repulsive than leprosy,
which carries off every victim on
which It once fastens Itself. The
Great White Elephant of the East Is
tugging mightily at the halter by
which this country Is lending it.
